Raining in Barcelona? No worries: the city is full of indoor activities. Here are our ideas.

Museums

The Picasso Museum, Fundació Joan Miró, MNAC or the History Museum of Barcelona: plenty to keep you dry and warm for hours.

Covered markets

The Boqueria or the Sant Antoni market: wander between the stalls, snack and stay sheltered at the same time.

Shopping

Passeig de Gràcia for the shops, or Las Arenas (a mall inside a former bullring) with its covered panoramic terrace.

Gaudí indoors

A visit to the Sagrada Família or Casa Batlló is just as enjoyable in the rain — remember to book a skip-the-line ticket.

Take shelter over a good meal

A long tapas lunch, a cooking workshop or a cocktail class: rain is the perfect excuse for a tasty break.

Good to know: showers in Barcelona are often short. Keep a small umbrella handy and adapt your plans as the day goes on.
